Brae Island Camping 2015

Our 2nd Annual Dykman Family Camping Trip to Brae Island. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Conrad and Auntie Cori camped with us this weekend in Fort Langley. The weather wasn't nearly as nice as last year, we did get some rain, but we were still able to enjoy the outdoors, swim in the pool, play at the river and go for a bike ride.

Our first morning there the kids were SO excited about the special camping cereal, it's all Hudson had talked about for days before!

 Some of the Dykman girls!

Zoey is the easiest camping baby ever, she napped in her stroller twice a day and fell asleep in here at night before I transferred her to bed!

We took a walk on Saturday afternoon to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's, they live in Fort Langley so we went for a little visit.

Zoey decided she wanted to be big now...pulling herself up on everything!

The next morning the kids helped Grandma make pancakes for breakfast!

Then the kids rode their bikes with Grandma while Jordan and I ran along with them. We went to the end of the island, and the kids loved riding the trails.

The sun came out and it was hot! We went down to the beach for some play time that afternoon.

Grandpa treated us to ice cream after dinner, Hudson chose bubblegum!

Our last morning there it decided to start raining when we were packing up...Zoey is clearly impressed with the whole situation! she was sopping wet!

We got home at about lunch time and unpacked most of the camper, by the afternoon the sun had come out and it was another hot day! So we packed up a picnic and headed to the lake! Got some more good swimming in and enjoyed the last bit of our weekend!

Adventures in July

Continuing on with our adventures bucket list we checked out this great lake in Abootsford. Albert Dyck Lake, and it was a beauty! So close to home and such nice clear water we will be spending lots of time here! We came on Canada Day with Grandma since Daddy was trying to get the camper finished!

The next week we went with Oma, Mya and Lilly to a beach we've visited since I was a little girl. Centennial Beach in Tsawassen, we also met Opapa and Nana there and spent the day playing t the beach.

One afternoon we went for a quick trip to William's Park, it's always nice to have a good watering hole so close to home. After a quick play time at the park we headed down to the river.

Our next adventure took us out to Coquitlam again where we visited Lion's Park. A fun morning with our friends the Diachuk's, the kids had a blast exploring, climbing, swinging and zipping. Even Jesse and Zoey were chasing each other!

The following week we headed out to Bear Creek Park, it also had a water park and a Miniature train to ride. We happened to be going on the same day our friends were heading there to celebrate a birthday! We tagged along and hung out for the morning!

Such a fun group of kiddos!
