Jaxon and Hudson's Lego Party!

In an effort to make my busy life a little less crazy I decided to do a combined birthday for the boys this year! But then I decided to still do 2 birthdays in one day, so in the afternoon our friends came over to celebrate with us! Then in the evening our family came over to spoil the boys even more!! I went all out this year- there's something about birthdays and the decorating and it's just all too much fun for me! I made all the decorations for their Lego Party and I think it turned out so great! They loved it so what more could I ask for? Here we are set up and ready for the party(s) to begin...

We had 16 kids over and thankfully the rain held off so they could all play outside for a bit after clearing out the candy in about 5 seconds! The boys had so much fun (and I think their friends did too)!

How many kids can you fit on a trampoline?

We had a little break in between parties so Jaxon and daddy built some Lego

Then family showed up and we partied some more... Opa was right in there with all the kids getting the presents opened!

Grandma gave Jaxon his new quilt for his bed! WOW! This has taken her hours upon hours and is absolutely amazing! (and she's making one for Hudson) THANK YOU GRANDMA!!

More Lego building in progress... Jaxon now builds the sets completely by himself- wait when did he get old enough to do that!?!

Jaxon's favourite person came to the party (Daddy's friend Robbie) and he was thrilled!

Oma and Zoey were matching- So CUTE!

Happy birthday boy!

Hudsy and Auntie Cori!!

Thanks to all our wonderful family and friends for making this day so special for our boys!

Hudson is 3!

This sweet little boy of ours turned 3! So much has changed in those 3 years and it was definitely the craziest point in our lives- having 3 kids in 3 years, moving in with my parents and living there for 2 months when Hudson was just 10 days old. My biggest baby at 8lbs. 12 oz. and my fastest labour at only 2 hours from first contraction to when he was born, Hudson has always been such an easy going guy ever since he was a baby. However, he is almost my most stubborn and strong willed- if he wants something there is no changing his mind... at all!! He's always doing things to keep up with his older sibling's, he loves dinosaurs, Lego, Lightning McQueen and hockey. I can't wait to see what this year holds for for my Hudsy boy!

He was up nice and early for his birthday, didn't want to waste a minute of it sleeping!

He was adamant to help with making his birthday pancakes, Alivia was there to lend a hand as well.

No birthday in our house is complete without sprinkle pancakes and candles on top!

Jordan only worked half a day Saturday so we had a pretty lazy morning and waited for him to come home before we went out to celebrate. Hudson and Alivia helped me decorate his birthday cake with legos, I think it turned out pretty cool and was SO easy!!

Always climbing on the kitchen counters to get his own snacks (just wanted a picture to remember this phase, that's been happening since he was probably 18 months old haha!!)

The kids played lego...

When Daddy came home it was time for video games...

Then off to the zoo

Hudson chose to go to the candy store... then with Jordan's help chose one candy from every bin for his bag. It was so methodical and meticulous but that's what he wanted and like I said, there is no changing his mind!

After we loaded up on candy from the store, we went to "Old McDonald's" for his birthday dinner- Hudson's choice! Then came home for some birthday cake and some down time before bed.

Happy Birthday Hudson, we love you so much and hope the best for you as you keep growing into a the amazing little boy you are becoming!

Ten on Ten

It's been ages since I did ten on ten but I always enjoyed this day so much taking the time to realize and notice the everyday and see the beauty in it. As a stay at home mom I feel like life is repetitive, and that can be a negative thing for me. I need days to take the time to realize that even if I'm doing dishes for the 5th time that day or making yet another meal that it is my job and what I'm meant to be doing right now. So thankful for this day and spending time with our wonderful friends at the park!
So here was our 9 (oops missed an hour) pictures on the 10th of March for 10 hours!
