Our Little Gymnast

This past spring we signed Alivia up for gymnastics at Flip City since she was always jumping, bouncing and twirling around at home- oh and also she's unbelievably flexible. We went (almost) every Saturday morning from 9-10 and usually had to drop the boys off at Oma's house as Daddy was working. She had her last class Saturday though so Daddy took the day off to come with us. She had been talking about Daddy taking her to 'nasnics' for over a week now... excited much?
We decided to make it a family outing as Jaxon has asked almost every week if he can go and do gymnastics with her. I carried Hudson around in the baby carrier (haha bad idea, 25 pounds of baby was a bit much, especially since he hated it and was squirming like a mad man) but when I did take him out near the end he just crawled in everyone's way. Alivia enjoyed having Daddy watch her and Jaxon was having WAY too much fun on all the equipment.

Alivia is 2 1/2!

I am always shocked how quickly time goes by when really I shouldn't be, Alivia is 2 1/2 today which means only 6 months until she's 3! This girl is FULL of life and zest and her own strong will, she is definitely my most challenging right now (which I think comes with the age) but she also has a hilarious personality and makes us laugh the easiest too!
I won this dress a few months ago and Alivia LOVES to wear her 'ballerina' dress. It finally fits her better so we did a little photo shoot!

up she will always be getting dirty and playing with the boys!

Father's Day!

I think I was much more excited about Father's Day this year than I was for Mother's Day. I had come up with some great gifts and some wonderful ways to spoil my hubby that I knew he'd love I couldn't wait for the day to come! I had been preparing the kids (mostly Jaxon) that it would be Father's Day soon and just like I got to choose our 'activities' on Mother's Day Daddy would get to choose the activities he wanted to do on Father's Day. I asked Jaxon what he thought Daddy would want to do, and he said 'work on the truck!'. For those who don't know about Jordan's truck, he bought it in the fall and had to tow it home with my Dad's pick up and uncle's trailer because... it didn't run! My hubby loves projects! So every night after the kids are in bed he's out there working on it, and on weekends he'll usually spend a good part of the day out in his workshop and either Jaxon or Alivia or both will be helping him. We also discussed gifts that Daddy would love and Jaxon was pretty adamant that Daddy needed a puppy for Father's Day, sorry Jordan no puppy this year!

I did take a picture of each of the kids with a letter to spell DAD, and LOVE how they turned out, I then got them printed and hung them in the office.

We started off the morning by letting Daddy sleep in and making him some french toast, and of course gf (gluten free) pancakes for Liv, which everyone ended up loving.

We then gave Daddy a few other gifts to open

Daddy and the older 2 kids then went outside to work on the truck for a bit, when Hudson woke up from his nap we then went to Aldergrove Regional Park (used to be the lake but is now filled in) had a picnic lunch then went for a bike ride on the trails. Alivia sat in the seat on my bike and Jordan pulled the boys in the trailer, there were some very unexpected and steep hills that we had to get off the bikes and push them up, much more of a workout than I anticipated!

We then came home after about 3 hours of fun in the sun Alivia and Jaxon fell asleep in the van so Jordan took a nap outside. A little while later Jaxon woke up and then just went and laid with Daddy and fell ack asleep, love this picture... like father like son

We had a fun family BBQ at our place, Mom and Dad, Rob, Andy and Mya and Bill and Grace came over, we had so much yummy food, and ice cream cake to celebrate Rob's birthday (which was 2 days ago) and lots of fun playing together.

So thankful my kids have such an amazing Daddy who loves to be with them! Happy Father's Day Jordan!

Hudson- 15 months

My sweet Hudsy baby is 15 months today, when I realized this I was somewhat in shock as I quickly realized that Alivia was just 15 months when Hudson was born! CRAZY, I know! He seems like so much more of a baby then she did at 15 months- most likely because there was a newborn around, also he still not walking so he just seems much younger to me. 

I've always loved this age where this is so much discovery happening, their little personalities really start to show and they don't talk back yet!

Hudson can always be found following his siblings around, wherever they're playing he will be too. They sometimes pretend he's a monster though and just run away from him, but he'll still keep chasing them- and the game goes round and round.

Dirty little tootsies

I realized that I hardly have any pictures of Hudson sleeping as opposed to Jaxon or even Alivia, and realized when Jaxon was a baby he would nap anywhere I put him- usually on the couch in the living room. As the third however, Hudson has ALWAYS been put for a nap in his room otherwise he would have never slept with the older 2 playing around.
To me there's nothing sweeter or more innocent than a baby sleeping.

Hudson now has 12 teeth, SO much sooner than his siblings. He already has 4 molars and was a gnawing, drool machine for weeks (as you can see in this picture). He went through a short biting phase too (which I think was due to teething, but thankfully it was usually me who got the brunt of it).
He's suddenly become quite vocal- he's been screaming for some time now just for the sheer fun of it, but the last few days he has been babbling as he's playing with toys, making all kids of sweet happy funny sounds. He will growl if he hears a dog barking or if he hears the word lion or tiger (how can you tell we go to the zoo a lot).
Hudson has a special teddy/ blankie (well it's a little blankie with a teddy head on it) that he is so attached too. He sleeps with it and won't come out of his crib after sleeping without it, he'll try to crawl around with it, so it turns into a bum scoot with one arm (so hard to explain but super adorable).
LOVE this little monkey and the wonderful personality he brings to our family!
