Christmas Tree Tradition

We put off getting our Christmas tree as Hudson started crawling and we had no way of blocking the tree off from his grabby little hands. We finally went on Saturday to Aldor Acres and decided to just get a small one to put on the shelf anyways (so we could have gotten it a few weeks ago). It is the cutest tree and was super quick to decorate- we're all getting very excited for Christmas! After we cut down our tree we went and saw all the animals, petted the goats and sheep (Alivia was so scared of them) and saw lots of cute bunnies, some llamas, donkeys and a cow! We then warmed up with some hot chocolate and popcorn before heading home!

More Christmas Fun

A few more Christmas activities to share with you, painting stockings. Jaxon has suddenly become very particular about his colouring and painting, trying to stay in the lines on colouring pages and here being quite precise about his colours.

We made our gingerbread house this week mixing and baking the dough and decorating it with Daddy, I think a few too many candies were consumed on this day!!

On pinterest there's always this great felt christmas tree floating around where the kids can then decorate and re- decorate the tree whenever they want, I wanted to do this but could never find a piece of green felt that was big enough, so instead I made this felt snowman and the kids can give him funny faces- which is so much more entertaining! I made a mustache that they aslo used as eye brows, they then also put it on their own face- which was even funnier!

SNOW!!!

This past week we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland, the kids were beyond excited and wanted to go out at 6:30... in the morning!! I was able to hold off until 9 though, for 20 minutes of bundling up and putting on layers I was hoping for a bit longer than 40 minutes of play! It was of course so much fun, Jaxon made some snow angels, they played on the swings and Hudson 'played' in his first snowfall- doing a pretty good face plant in the cold snow!

Christmas in Williams Park

Keeping with tradition Jordan and I took the kids to the annual Christmas in Williams Park last Friday- Jaxon was so excited about it this year as this past summer we went here numerous times with friends and he knew where we were going... he still asked if William was going to be there!!

We had lots of fun, got some yummy hot chocolate, cookies and hotdogs, had pony rides, saw the fire truck, watched a very weird 'clown' perform and even had a picture with Santa(it took a lot of convincing, mom and dad being in the picture and a little bit of screaming)!!!! 

The rain held off and we enjoyed all the Christmas lights!
