It's been an adjustment to figure out schedules and get the kids to and from classes, I've been able to take Hudson and Zoey to the strong start program or the library when the older 2 have classes. It's been a nice break and a fun time spent with just 2 of my kiddos.
Zoey is walking everywhere now, trying to keep up with the older ones I'm sure. She's also been chatting up a storm, Dada is her favourite to say and she yells it at him about 20 times when he comes home from work! She also tries to say Jaxon which sounds like Da, she tries to say diaper (a funny word to learn first). She now says Mama when she wakes up in the morning so I'll get her out of bed! She is such a joy in our lives, I know I say it all the time but she just makes everyone happier.
Hudson is having a hard time lately, he feels like he's a big kid but he's too young to participate in the same activities as Jaxon and Alivia so I think he's feeling a little left out which has led to some difficult behaviours and lots of aggression. I'm hoping taking him to strong start will make him feel in some way included! He is our funny guy though, and warms up to everyone. Anywhere we go he is making friends and making people smile!
We had a wedding for Jordan's cousin in September and the kids were just thrilled to be able to come along. We all got dressed up and had so much fun, dancing and spending time celebrating with family.
We've had a few fun trips the last couple months and are enjoying all the sunshine we've still been having.
A trip to the Apple Barn farm, has become an annual tradition. Unfortunately we were too late for picking apples this year but it was still fun with all the activities.
So here's some bits and pieces from September...
Hudson asked me if he could cut the grass with scissors... of course!
Jordan was in school the past 6 weeks, doing his second year in his apprenticeship. He finished with top mark in his class and entered a steamfitting competition where he placed first in all of BC and won a cash prize to boot! So proud of this man and all that he accomplishes while still being an amazing dad to our kiddos!
We've had more beautiful weather and more park days! Mill lake with Hudson and Zoey while Jaxon and Alivia had a class.
Here we are at Mill Lake again for a Family Fun day with the school, we met other families there, walked around the lake and had some play time at the park.
Jordan is working on another project, rebuilding his motorcycle he got from a friend about 5 years ago now. The kids have been spending most evenings out there with him in the workshop. It gives me some down time to work on orders or clean the house- or some nights veg out and do nothing!
And here's some random moments from October...
Ice Cream Sundaes on Sunday
I did the Grouse Grind for the first time ever! I loved it and was surprised at how easily I made it to the top, it is reassuring to know your body is in good shape after working out for the last 5 months!
Beautiful view on a beautiful day!
Me and my bestie at the top!
We made our way out to the Port Kells Nursery to visit the pumpkin patch and get some pumpkins to carve. They also had a great selection of bulbs so we picked up some tulips and daffodils that will flower in the spring.
The kids' club at Co-op always throws parties for halloween, we went there for the morning to enjoy all the free treats and activities!
Now we're already at the end of October, we spent an evening carving pumpkins!
Here we are on Halloween, the kids were so excited to go trick or treating! They walked around for almost 2 hours and got their bags very full!
Baking some super yummy sugar cookies
A fun afternoon outside playing and finding little creatures
