Adventures in March

Life has been full lately, in many good ways and many difficult ways. It's been challenging with homeschooling Jaxon and Livy, and super stressful. I've let some things go that I enjoy and put them on the back burner (like my crocheting and this blog) and it's been a challenge to get through some days. Jordan is always working on projects and life just keeps going on in the crazy way it does. One thing that has kept me sane and is the highlight of my week is our hikes! I've been taking the kids out at least once a week to explore a new place, get out in nature and enjoy the fresh air and get some exercise.

Our first adventure was to Cascade Falls, it was a cooler day but it made the forest that much more mysterious. There was a suspension bridge to cross over and just a short hike up to the falls.

After our hike we headed to the picnic area for some snacks and then went down to explore by the river.

The following week I took the kids out for a birthday hike, for me! I always feel reenergized after a hike and love getting out into nature far away from the city. We went out past Chilliwack to Cheam Lake Wetlands. We had so much fun exploring and walking the trails, and we learnt all about nurse logs. It was a beautiful day, and such beautiful scenery!

Lots more adventures to come...
