Easter Party

Thanks to amazing friends and a little planning and sharing we put together a wonderful Easter party for our kids that focussed on the real reason behind easter- Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. We did still have an egg hunt and some yummy easter candies but we also did a few activities that focussed on Jesus.
Michelle did 'Resurrection Rolls' with the kids, it was such a neat concept. Using a crescent roll dough the kids were able to roll a marshmallow (Jesus) in oil and cinnamon and sugar (like they would have done to embalm the body) they then wrapped it in the crescent roll and it was baked in the oven. After it was done baking 'Jesus' was gone- risen from the dead. When asked what happened to Jesus one of our friends very seriously said, "Jesus melted".

Deb put together this great tombstone scene using a potato, moss, dirt, rocks and sticks for the cross.

The kids also made super cute bunnies, chicks or butterfly stick puppets.
There was of course time for playing with friends...

Tag you're it!

Eating snacks...
