Jaxon is 4!

Jaxon requested a 'George Sunny Birthday' this year, so that's what we had a Sunny day celebrating a wonderful boy with a Curious George theme- thankfully the sun got the memo and decided to show up.
The day started off with special birthday pancakes, a heartfelt rendition of Happy Birthday and of course 4 candles on the pancakes. Jaxon was a little off today though, not feeling 100%, poor guy- he still had lots of smiles though!

SO excited to get Woody, he couldn't stop smiling!

Thrilled to bits, he got Buzz Lightyear for Christmas and now has his friend Woody!

We opened presents after breakfast that and got ready for a VERY busy day!
Today was super special as Daddy got to be home with us, it was sure to be a great day. We took the kids and headed out to the Vancouver Aquarium. We got to watch the dolphin show, and Jaxon got to hold a 'Walking Stick Bug'.

After a couple hours admiring all the sea creatures and exploring all the exhibits we headed to the park for a picnic and some playtime on the playground. We then went for a quick walk down to the beach, had a few minutes to play and snap a family photo.

We then went to Grandmama and Grandpapa's house for a birthday celebration for Grandmama (which was a few days before). We went straight to ChooChoo's for dinner after that and had a special celebration in the train room, where they actually have a train table set up for the kids to play with and train tracks to build on your table!

We came back to our place for cake and presents with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Conrad, Auntie Cori, Oma, Opa and Mya. A crazy busy day to celebrate a crazy busy boy!

When ever we drive somewhere Jaxon thinks that the cars going in the same direction as us are also going to the same place, so when driving to the aquarium he thought everyone else on the freeway was going there too. Once there he said, 'Wow, lots of people have their birthdays today' he figured since WE had a special trip to the aquarium for his birthday than that's the same reason everyone else goes- for their birthday. We then explained that sometimes people go there even if it's not for a birthday.

I love the way this kid thinks and he get us laughing so often, the night before his birthday he was talking with Daddy about numbers and how old he will be and holding up the fingers to the right number. He was holding 3 fingers straight up then bent them to look like a claw and said 'and this is an angry 3!'
