Canada Day Long Weekend

Life has been a bit overwhelming these days trying to rid our house of detergents, run my business and keep my children busy during the rain we had. I found myself in a slump and am so thankful for a long weekend and bright sunny weather to help me see all the amazing gifts my life holds.
Jordan had 3 days off, this was AMAZING! Jaxon was so excited when we told him Daddy would be home for 3 days, he almost didn't believe it.
We bought a new pool as ours had many cracks in it from a couple summers of use, the kids spent hours and hours cooling off and playing in it. Grandma also came over to cool off in the pool and Hudson just liked to hang out in the foot washing bucket. We had the sprinkler going for a bit and Daddy showed the kids how to do it!

Daddy and Jaxon set up a fire pit and we roasted some marshmallows for s'mores with Grandma & Grandpa, Jaxon was the only one who stayed awake after a whole day of playing outside in the sun.

The next night we roasted hot dogs over the fire

Today we headed out to Williams Park and found a secluded spot by the river where the kids could play, Hudson loved throwing rocks in the water and Alivia and Jaxon had fun cooling off. We had a picnic lunch and played at the park for a bit.

Jaxon and Alivia went to Oma and Opa's after to play with Mya while we took Hudson home for a nap. Then joined in the fun a few hours later. Andy made a 'pool' in the back of my Dad's pick up, the kids loved it and Hudson and I joined in the fun too!

It's been the perfect beginning to summer, and we're looking forward to much more fun in the sun!

And to top it all off Hudson took 5 steps on his own today!!
