Summer Bucket List 2013

Inspired by my good friend Michelle who decided to do a bucket list of summer activities and seeing these ideas around Pinterest as well I thought I would jump on the band wagon and make one too! With the stresses of my businesses and being a full time mom I needed to re-focus and really enjoy the fact that I get to spend 12+ hours with my 3 children every day and make my time with them worthwhile. Realistically doing something 'fun' and memorable with them every day is NOT going to happen or this Momma would burn out, but having this list where we can choose a few fun activities to do every week will be, I hope a great family tradition.
This list includes activities that are free or almost free as well as ones that will cost a substantial amount of moolah. I don't expect to cross every one of these activities off but I'm aiming for at least half, some of these activities we will also do more than once as they are our go to outings.
I compiled this list by looking at about 20 other lists from a google search as well as ones I thought up on my own (they also are in no particular order):

1. Go the the park/ water park with friends- done and will do again
2. Go to the beach- done and will do again
3. Go to the zoo (we have a membership so we go almost once a week)
4. Ride our bikes to Krause Berry Farm for a yummy treat
5. Go swimming at an outdoor pool
6. Go to the Farmer's Market
7. Go to Science World
8. Go to the Aquarium
9. Go to Castle Fun Park
10. Go to Queen's Park
11. Go to the Apple Barn Farm
12. Drop in Gymnastics
13. Go Berry Picking- done
14. Go to a sandcastle competition
15. See a Parade
16. Go Camping (we are going for a week in August)
17. Go hiking at Bridal Veil Falls
18. Go to Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge
19. Kids Workshop at Home Depot
20. Drive up a mountain
21. Have a backyard campfire (a weekly occurrence for us)
22. Have s'mores (whenever there's a campfire there's s'mores)
23. Mega Bubbles
24. Glow in the dark bubbles
25. Play with glow sticks and sparklers
26. Painting with feet
27. Fly a kite
28. Make a catapult
29. Go on a scavenger hunt
30. Make tie dye t-shirts
31. Make sun catchers
32. Water blob
33. Water fight
34. Play in the sprinkler and/ or kiddie pool (any hot sunny day calls for these activities)
35. Make mud pies
36. Make ice cream
37. Make popsicles
38. Get a slurpee on a hot day
39. Cheer for Daddy and Grandma on their Bike Race
40. Have an ice cream party with all the fixing's
41. Host a BBQ or 3 or 4
42. Camp in the backyard
42. Eat the veggies from our garden
43. Make apple crisp with apples from our trees
44. Go to the library (we usually make a trip every couple weeks)
45. Make ribbon wands
46. Roast Hot Dogs over the fire (done and will do again)
47. 'Archaeological' dig in ice
48. Build a fort inside on a rainy day
49. Go for bike rides
50. Build a deck
