The Peak of Christmas

The kids have been asking about going up a mountain for months and since Grouse has all kinds of fun Christmas activities we thought it would be a great adventure. We drove out and it was pouring at the base of the mountain, by the time we rode up the gondola to the top it was a winter wonderland and the kids squealed with delight when they saw all the snow!

Our first stop was at the outdoor skating pond, after getting all the kids laced up and helmets on they were off, the first time for Hudson and Livy on the ice.

Zoey got so cold her cheeks were turning blue so I headed inside with her to warm up while everyone else kept skating.

After we had warmed up we went back outside to see how the adventurers were doing... by now everyone was frozen so we all went inside and had some lunch.

After lunch we checked out the gingerbread village, there were some amazing gingerbread houses!

Inside the chalet they also had crafts, colouring and christmas movies.

Once we were all warmed up again we headed back out into the snow to meet some of Santa's reindeer

Then we played in the snow, slid down the hills and walked through the forest- it was magical!

By that time we had seen everything there was to see, we were cold again, and getting tired so we headed for home! it was a beautiful day and some of the best memories together!
