Festive Fall Fun

Getting into fall and embracing the cool weather and the leaves changing colours, we've been watching our pumpkins grow and soon will be ready for carving them. Hudson loves following the older 2 out to the garden where they check on the pumpkins and then pick apples from the 'orchard'.
Whenever Hudson sees a pumpkin he always points and excitedly says 'papa'.

We've crafted a fall tree for our window (we did it a couple years ago, and it was so pretty I wanted to do it again).

We made some 'shape' jack o'lanterns, we used triangles for eyes, a circle for the nose and a crescent for the mouth. We of course added a peduncle as well.

We went on a little walk around the property the other day and thanks to some inspiration from my friend Michelle we made leaf people.

So I had started teaching Alivia her letters and got as far as 'A', yes I really dropped the ball this time. She loves to use this printing book I made for Jaxon though and tracing her name.

Finally finished our deck a few weeks back, what a wonderful feeling! SO many hours, such hard work and some major skills from the hubby (he never ceases to amaze me), hard working parents (Thank you Dad, Grace and Bill) and friends! The kids have already been using it since the deck boards were finished but we are so excited for all the wonderful times to be had out there!

One of my favourite parts is this sunset feature!

And a little before and after shot taken about a year apart...

The kids have been re-obsessed with the trains lately, playing with them everyday for hours on end. Love how much they are all getting along lately.

A sunday afternoon nap with Daddy

We've already been going through some bought's of viruses and sickness, the kids all had some virus that turned into an eye infection so we had a few trips to the doctor and some eye drops (which did not go over well). Some flu bug had me sick this week as well, the positive side of sick kids means they're extra cuddly!

The kids have been getting pretty excited for Halloween and dressing up, Hudson brings the lion costume to me every morning and plays around the house roaring occasionally.

Jaxon asked Alivia if she wanted to live in outer space, she said 'No, I live in this space'
Jaxon's new word: rocketshipper= an astronaut
'Mom, we're bad guys'
