Another Week

What a whirlwind life is right now, I've finally been back to my normal self this past week, the kids and I enjoyed the sun we had as we know fall will soon be here and the cool weather upon us! We had a picnic in the yard and made some mega bubbles, Jaxon loves doing it by himself and he's pretty good at it too!

Alivia and Jaxon love to play in Hudson's crib- they both had soothers and were pretending to be babies
This past week we were able to go to Strongstart and the kids seemed to really enjoy it, Jaxon gravitated to one little girl and was playing with her all morning, he loved dressing up and playing with the playdough. Alivia thought I was going to leave her, as we walked in she started to cry and get really upset, once she realized I was staying she was fine (at sunday school she has a complete meltdown when we drop her off), she hovered around the colouring and books. It was mostly successful and we'll definitely be going again! My goal is to also take the kids to Strongstart 1-2 times a week, I took Jaxon when he was Alivia's age and it was a great free program where he got different activities and a different atmosphere than I could give him at home. It is much like a preschool setting but the parents have to stay with their children, there was always a circle time with stories and songs, as well as time in the gym or on the playground.

We got to visit our friend and her new little baby this week, it's so amazing even after having 3 of my own how tiny and precious a new life is! We just had a short visit and the boys fell asleep on the way home, Alivia and I hung out in the car for a bit so they could sleep.

look at those lips!

We had beautiful summer weather on Friday and headed to Williams Park with our friends again. Enjoyed the playground, had a picnic and as always great company.

I think Alivia spent most of the time in the swing and  got many free pushes!
I had told Jaxon before we left we were going to play at the park and then go to the river, we decided to stay at the playground as it was just easier with our big group and feeding the babes, however Jaxon was quite distraught when everyone was leaving and we hadn't yet gone to the river. So we packed up and headed down for about an hour.

The weekend brought a lot of exhaustion, Jordan had to work until 9pm on Friday night (which was unexpected) but Oma and Opa came for dinner which was a nice change of pace. Saturday Jordan took Jaxon to get his ice skates and gloves for his learn to skate program at the end of the month, more yard work was done, late afternoon the kids all had a fever and were asleep by 7. Sunday they still were under the weather, we had quite a lazy day and again a really early bed time.

I adore my babies!

drooly Hudson almost 6 months old
We have a new critter in the house, Daddy found this huge caterpillar outside so we put him in an empty blueberry container gave him a stick to crawl on and leaves to eat. The first day the kids wanted to do nothing but look at him and watch him, the second day he started spinning his cocoon and when we woke up the next day it was complete. After doing a bit of research I found out it is a Polyphemus Moth Caterpillar, and will have a wingspan of about 6in. when it emerges. It seems like it may be in it's cocoon all winter then emerge in the spring- we will wait and see!
Daddy found a gigantic caterpillar (Jaxon was sick here)

Jaxon is his hockey gear-
he tries it on about 10 times a day
